To answer an actual question, yes, that is an 'upgraded' Darth Vader minifig.
The idea for this character came to me while screaming 'He's a bloody traitor! Can't you see it?' once too often at the TV screen. Since no one seems to have heard me, here I am cashing, or rather just funning, in on that archetype. Enjoy.
